Frantic footage of a busy intersection in Vietnam's capital city, Hanoi, shows a flurry of traffic cutting across each other.

The timelapse from September 28 shows the chaotic yet smoothly functioning intersection in Hoan Kiem Lake, where a few brave pedestrians make their way across the junction.

The filmer told Newsflare: "It was astonishing to see that all rolled well without accidents!

"A lot of people, including many foreign tourists, know this intersection because it has no traffic lights even though it is a five-way intersection.

"Vietnam is famous for its crazy traffic, and the traffic jams can get ridiculous. The traffic is so bad that if you waited for a clear gap to comfortably cross a main road, you would probably be waiting there all day."
