A 14-foot-long venomous king cobra was rescued from a warehouse by a local snake catcher in southern India's Karnataka.

The rescue operation took place in the small village of Bittangala, Kodagu district, on September 27.

Unnerving footage shows the ginormous snake being dragged from the warehouse and released into the forest range by the rescuer in the presence of forest department officials.

According to reports, the dangerous reptile was first spotted by a concerned resident who alerted the local rescuer.
