Around 7,000 pets transported in express boxes were stranded at a logistics park in central China's Luohe causing death on September 22.

The video shows pets including rabbits, cats, dogs and guinea pigs packed inside express boxes left at a logistics park.

According to animal rescuers, some animals were dead already and their bodies have decomposed. The local animal quarantine department has harmlessly disposed of them.

An employee at the logistics park said a transport truck unloaded the parcels here without permission.

Since live animals are not allowed to be transported by mail, the case has been handed over the police to investigate.

The pets saved by the rescuers have been transferred to a temporary home for observation and treatment.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
