Pavement repairs in Bangkok, Thailand
Footage shows pavement repairs being carried out in Bangkok, Thailand, on September 30.
The project to upgrade the former tarmac sidewalk is being carried out along the length of the Sukhumvit Road - one of the most popular tourist areas in the city.
Workmen completed a renovation along the lower section of the road earlier this year, stretching from the Terminal 21 shopping mall and the Asoke Interchange to the Soi 4, or Soi Nana, area.
Bangkok Metropolitan Authority chiefs are now overseeing the next stage. The damaged and pot-hole covered footpath is being replaced with smooth pavement slabs.
This section stretches from the Asoke Interchange to Soi 33. It is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
