A bizarre Buddhist temple in Thailand has three giant crocodiles living in an algae-covered pool.

The Wat Chakrawat Temple in Bangkok, more popularly known as the Crocodile Temple, attracts local and foreign visitors because of the giant reptiles living in the garden.

Hundreds of visitors, including locals and tourists, visit the temple every day to marvel at the huge crocodiles.

The monks received the donated crocs and Buddhist scripture tells that they must care for them to accumulate 'merit', or points, for good deed.

They have given them a concrete shelter and a small man-made pond where they can soak during hot days.

Aside from the reptiles, the temple also houses a collection of 19th-century Thai-Chinese architecture.
