Hikers climb onto trees to avoid wild boar in Indonesia
This is the hilarious moment a group of 24 hikers climbed trees to escape an angry wild boar.
The nature lovers were following the uphill trail when they wandered into the territory of a protective female boar on Mount Cikuray in West Java, Indonesia, on September 19.
The group scattered in panic, with each one looking for an empty tree. They scrambled up the branches before the furious boar caught up with them.
One of the climbers, Ajeng, they tried to avoid the dirty, dirty hog but it followed them and became aggressive.
She said: "Its fangs were quite long and we're not yet ready to be its next meal. We all climbed our own trees to save ourselves."
Some of the walkers even fought over trees and refused to share the space while the boar terrorised them.
The group clung to the branches for about 15 minutes before the boar tired and left them.
The group cheered when it left and continued on the trail while sharing funny stories of the incident with each other.
Later that night at camp, Ajeng said the same boar still followed them but left immediately.
No one was hurt from the incident and the group descended the mountain safely on the same trail.
