UK stylist curls customer's hair through letter box in prank video to beat COVID rules
Uploaded by a Newsflare content partner
This creative hairstylist from Greater Manchester found a novel way to beat social distancing rules during the pandemic: by curling a customer's hair through a letter box.
But the video, filmed on April 10 during lockdown as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, is actually a prank.
Nicki Mawdsley, 46, explained: "I am having fun with clients who are desperate to get their hair done even though we can’t go out. So I am pretending to receive a phone call from someone wanting their hair done because they are going shopping. So I invite them to my home and style their hair through the letterbox.
"My main reason was to keep engaging with my clients even though we have had to close the salon due to the lockdown restrictions. I also wanted to have a bit of fun.
"I have had my salon for 15 years and can’t wait to get back to work." she said at the time.
