Tense moment rescuers pull trapped dog from 100ft well with a rope
A dog that fell into a 100-foot-deep well was saved by fire department officials in southern India's Tamil Nadu.
The daring operation by Pappireddipatti Fire Department officials took place in the town of Vadakarai, Dharmapuri district, on the evening of October 1.
Tense footage shows a firefighter being raised from the well before the trapped dog emerges, rescued using thick ropes.
A woman then carries the dog, who appeared unharmed, away from the well before releasing it.
According to local reports, the dog accidentally fell into the well while playing in a neighoburing farm.
