Superb lyrebird displays beautiful plumage in Victoria, Australia
A stunning superb lyrebird flapped its beautiful feathers in an attempt to attract a female mate.
Nature enthusiast Darilyn Les Goldsmith found the bird dancing near her house in Victoria, Australia on August 30.
She said: "We found a young male lyrebird here a few days ago. This one is using his tail feathers in a spectacular display."
The superb lyrebird is one of the world's largest songbirds. It is renowned for its elaborate tail used for courtship displays and its excellent mimicry.
