Firefighters in San Bernardino battle a blaze that was caused by a car accident which left one person dead.

Fire crews arrived at the scene and attempted to put out a blaze that was triggered by a vehicle on fire 15 feet down an embankment. The driver was declared deceased by paramedics on the scene.

The cause behind the crash in unknown at this moment.

SBCoFD responded to reports of a brush fire. Arriving crews located a vehicle 15 feet down an embankment fully engulfed and that caught fire to the vegetation. The vehicle suffered major damage and was completely burnt. The driver was declared deceased on scene by paramedics. Firefighters continued throughout the night to put out the fire caused by the fiery crash. The victim was completely burnt and identification was impossible at the scene. CHP had 173 Arbon to Grass Valley closed in both directions pending arrival of the coroner and clearing of the scene. The cause of the crash is unknown at this time. Due to the amount of damage from the crash and the fire, it's unknown what the make and model of the vehicle involved was.
