This is the heartwarming moment a hero policeman helps a stray dog cross a flooded road. 

The pooch was seen struggling to walk over the busy six-lane highway after thunderstorms caused floods across Bangkok, Thailand, last Friday night (October 2).

However, a kind policeman in an orange raincoat stopped traffic and walked over to the pooch. He then picked up its front paws and gently guided it across the soaked road so it did not get its front paws soggy.

Onlookers who were walking home at the time watched in amazement as the policeman delivered the wet pooch to safety. It then scampered off into a nearby market. 

The filmer said: ''It was the cutest thing I ever saw. The policeman was so kind to think of the dog and help it.''

Locals later identified the policeman as Captain Natthanan Chulokthabba and the dog is a stray that is regularly seen in the area.
