A delivery food rider wears a "Predator" inspired helmet while taking food to his customers.

Thanaphat Ornlamai, 41 modified his helmet to look like the terrifying Predator character from the science fiction film Predator.

He wears the eye-catching helmet while delivering food for customers in Pattaya, eastern Thailand.

Footage shows the delivery man wearing his unique helmet in one of his trips.

Thanaphat said customers are excited and ask to take a picture with him when they see his helmet.

He said: "My customers appear to enjoy my Predator helmet because they ask to take a picture with me every time."

The delighted customers are not only happy with their food, they also appear to be delighted by the rider's unusual safety gear as they give him more tip after bringing the orders.

The rider said he had previously earned 400 Baht (10 GBP) per day but since he started wearing the modified helmet, he receives an additional 100 Baht (2.5 GBP) in tips alone.

Predator is an American sci-fi action film from 1987 directed by John McTiernan and written by brothers Jim and John Thomas.

It is about mankind's encounters with a race of extraterrestrial trophy hunters known as the Predator.
