Heroic tourists rescued a teen boy after he fell into the Kunming lake at the Summer Palace in Beijing on October 5.

The video, provided by local media with permission, shows a man on the shore trying to use his jacket to lift the boy up and another man reaching out with a tree branch for the boy to grab as well.

However, when the boy was halfway up to the shore he suddenly dropped into the lake again. The tourists then threw the jacket to the boy again and finally brought him back to safety together.

One rescuer named Zou said he was about to take off his clothes and jumped into the lake to save the boy, but he realised that his jacket can approach the boy and decided to use his jacket to lift the boy up.
