Snorkeling in a bubbling geothermal river in Iceland that looks like nature's Lava Lamp

The word Litlaá means “Little River” in Icelandic, and describes a remote location near the northern coast of Iceland, just south of the arctic circle. The river is 17°C warm and its floor is full of mesmerizing dancing volcanic sands and multi colored sediments leaping from the algae-covered bottom. Heated water erupts from below the surface and causes beautiful designs and ripples in the riverbed, which are most comparable to a lava lamp.

The North of Iceland surely is an unusual place to find a warm river, but the island's geothermal activity keeps it a nice warm temperature. Few people have visited this place and even fewer have snorkeled in this river, which is unlike anything you have seen before in your life.
