This is the adorable moment a woman gave the cherished clothes she was baptized into her beloved pet dog.

Erriel Saplala, 27, had kept the white lace costumes since she was a baby. Her late mother told her to keep them and hand them down to her children.

However, Erriel has not had a baby of her own and decided to give the clothes to her 'furbaby', a five-year-old Daschund named Larkin.

The pooch was pictured wearing the intricate baptism gown inside the family home in Caloocan City, the Philippines on October 1.

The pet owner said she was tidying her old clothes when she saw white little gown she had been wearing more than two decades ago at her Christening when she was baptized.

She said: ''My mom told me to keep the clothes I used on my christening so that one day my future children could use them.

"Since I have no child of my own yet, but I do have a 'fur baby', it sparked an idea in my mind to let him wear my dress instead."
