An Indian man decided to build himself a paramotor that can reach great heights in hopes to promote tourism in his local area.

Footage from September 23 shows railway worker-cum-inventor Adepu Arjun operating his self-made paramotor over the Peddapalli countryside in the southern state of Telangana, reaching daring heights.

Arjun is already a parasailing and paragliding enthusiast but built his own machine using a Simonini Mini-3 engine - an Italian aircraft engine - because he lives in a low-lying area.

The incident took place in Ramagundam of Peddapalli district.

The video shows, the man taking off from a ground in his paraglider and him flying it.

According to the reports, the paramotor runs on Simonini Mini-3 engine.

The inventor is identified as Adepu Arjun and he is very found of adventures like parasailing and paragliding.

Arjun works in railways and decided to make paramotor for himself because he always wanted to do something adventurous.

Since there are no mountains in the region Arjun decided to make a paramotor to fly.
