Drunk motorist drives wrong direction on Chinese highway before falling asleep at the wheel
A drunk motorist drove in the wrong direction on a highway before falling asleep in his car in eastern China.
The CCTV video, shot in the city of Qingdao in Shandong Province on September 27, shows a car moving slowly in the wrong direction on a highway.
In another clip, the car was seen stopping in the middle of the road and a road maintenance worker standing beside the car to wave a jacket to alert the passing vehicles.
After the police arrived, they knocked the car window several times and finally woke up the motorist.
After having the breathalyser test, the motorist was confirmed to be driving under the influence.
The motorist's driving licence will be revoked and he will not be allowed to take the driving test in five years. He has been detained for under six months and fined.
