A feathertail glider gave birth in the palm of a rescue person's hand in Wyong, Australia on October 8.

The filmer said: "My husband Adrian saved this little feathertail glider from my kitty Lola right by our front door this morning. Then, while I was calling the wildlife rescue she literally gave birth in his hands! You can see and hear in the video how absolutely priceless this experience was for us and two of our sons. We have taken 'momma' to a veterinary clinic with the little baby where they will contact a local wildlife carer. I feel horrible that our kitten did this and I'm so glad my husband found her in time. I also feel so blessed to have experienced this today."

Today for homeschooling we will be researching 1. Feathertail Gliders 2. Cat runs to make sure this doesn't happen again.

After rescuing this Feathertail Glider from our kitten this morning we got the surprise of our life when "Mumma" gave birth to a tiny joey right in my husband Adrian's hands while I spoke to WIRES trying to find the closest location to care for the native animal. After googling we have come to learn that the species are also known as pygmy glider possum.

Early this morning my husband rescued this gorgeous Feathertail Glider. At first it just sat in his hands, then calmly on his shirt before going on a little adventure. Shortly after this video while holding the possum in his hands she gave birth to a baby Joey.
