Amid the Demonstration, Indonesian Students Collecting Scattered Garbage

In the midst of demonstrations against the Omnibus Law that took place throughout Indonesia, a number of students in Padang City, West Sumatra, took sympathetic action. They collect garbage scattered around the demonstration site.
Seeing their action, a number of policemen on guard also participated to collect trash. Garbage, which is generally used plastic bottles for drinks, is put in trash bags.
Demonstrations have been going on for two days, starting Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at the West Sumatra Regional Representative Council (DPRD) office. The demonstration was carried out by thousands of students from various campuses in West Sumatra.
The demonstration was also chaotic, because a number of school students threw stones and other hard objects from the police. Apart from the city of Padang, demonstrations are still ongoing in the national capital, Jakarta and other cities.
The demonstration was held after the government and the People's Representative Council (DPR) of the Republic of Indonesia passed the Job Creation Bill, which was considered to be detrimental to workers or workers.
