British Airways Pilot Waves the Union Jack Flag after landing the last British Airways 747 for the Final Time (+ Air Traffic Communcations)

After landing the very last British Airways Boeing 747 Jumbo Jet for the very last time, one of the pilots could be seen bearing the Union Jack flag out of the roof hatch and waving to the crowd. I can only imagine the emotions going through the pilots' heads as the 26 year old aircraft was towed off the runway to its final resting place. I am sure the 747 held a special place in their hearts having probably worked on the aircraft for many years.

This was the very last 747 in British Airways' fleet.

This video includes Air Traffic Control communications, listen as the crew announce they had 'shut down the engines for the last time'.

Video filmed at Kemble/Cotswold Airport on Thursday 8th October 2020. 4K video.
