This is the chilling moment a glass of beer was knocked to the ground when a shadowy 'ghost' figure moves around the table.

Staff at the pub in Sunderland reviewed the CCTV footage to investigate how the pint fell on September 13 after drinkers said they didn't touch it.

They were terrified after seeing a black shadow appearing to move around the glass until it fell on the floor.

The beer was spattered on the floor while a startled customer was confused about how the glass fell without anyone touching it.

Helen Maddison, manager at The Victoria Gardens Pub, believe they have a "resident ghost" after a series of creepy incidents in their workplace.

She said: “There has been lots of ghost stories over the year as this building was a coach house before any of the houses were here.

"But despite all of those spooky things that happen, my regular customers are still intact and love the pub."

Helen believes that the pub-loving ghost is also responsible for smashed chairs and from glasses, and can be heard walking down the cellar where they keep the drinks.
