A truck driver in Vietnam attempting a dangerous overtaking manoeuvre gets their comeuppance.

The driver on a busy two-lane road swerved onto the grass verge on the inside of the truck in front in an apparent attempt to overtake it.

Dashcam footage from the shocked motorist following, showed that the driver then hit some muddy earth before losing control, swerving wildly and bouncing over uneven ground.

The incident happened in Binh Thuan province on September 20.

Onlooker Le Hau said: "The driver was putting other people at risk but fortunately I was alert.''

Dashcam footage from a shocked motorist who was travelling behind the vehicles shows how the truck wobbled and bounced along the muddy bank.

The driver overtook the lorry in front then pulled over onto a driveway after the incident in Binh Thuan province, Vietnam, on September 20.
