Cape Town author started as a cabin attendant and now teaches people to write their own stories
Yusuf Daniels, the author of “Living Lekker” and “Living Coloured” started writing books while being bed ridden due to a groin injury. His two books have sold thousands of copies, at one stage being simultaneously at number 1 and 2 on the bestsellers list at Exclusive Books, South Africa’s largest bookstore chain.
Daniels, who grew up in Mitchells Plan, the largest township on the notorious Cape Flats, spent most of his working life as a cabin attendant.
He now spends his time hosting writing workshops, as well as working as a motivational speak and on other projects involving local comedians. He is in the process of writing a third book.
