Nottingham was packed with partygoers on the final Saturday before a local coronavirus lockdown was due to go into force.

The British city will be subject to stricter local rules on Monday 12 October after infection rates became some of the highest in England.

But despite infection rate concerns, the city was packed at 10pm as bars closed, following existing coronavirus closing-time rules.

Streets and public transport were particularly busy, with revellers all going home at once.

Nottingham city centre was packed with revellers on Saturday night (10/10/2020) ahead of a local lock down on Monday 12/10/2020 after infection rates in the area became the highest in England. Despite infection rate concerns, the city was packed at 10pm as bars began closing, forcing drinkers onto the street. Public transport was largely affected with revellers all trying to get home at once.

Nottinghams city trams saw large groups of people cramming into carriages, with a marshal yelling at people at one point to follow the coronavirus guidelines.
