A man who idolized US President Donald Trump passed away after being distressed over Trump contracting the novel coronavirus in the south Indian state of Telangana.

The incident took place in Konne village, Bachannapet block of Jangaon district on October 11.

The video shows Bussa Krishna Raju laying on a cot and his parents grieving his loss next to his mortal remains. His cousin brother is also seen sharing the loss of his brother.

Raju was known as Trump Krishna by the people in his village. He had also installed a six-foot-tall statue of his idol outside his house last year.

Raju’s cousin brother stated that on the day of his death he woke up in the morning, as usual, had a bath and a cup of tea and then suddenly collapsed on the ground.

He was rushed to the hospital after the collapse but the doctors declared him dead on arrival and stated the cause of death as cardiac arrest.

He added that his brother had slipped into deep depression after hearing about Trump contracting coronavirus along with his wife Melania Trump.

He had not been eating his meals for at least two days before his death. He also locked himself up in his room and prayed for his idol's recovery.
