A helicopter was used to rescue sailors after their ship sank due to tropical storm Linfa in Quang Tri, Vietnam on October 11.

According to witnesses, the ship stopped at the port to avoid the tropical storm was hit by waves and drifted out and sank.

Fortunately, the sailors quickly clung to the chimney to avoid the waves, as the chimney column still protruded above the sea level.

Rescuers on a lifeboat approached the ship but were later trapped with the crew on it due to the strong winds and waves.

A helicopter was then sent to save the sailors and rescuers.

In the video, rescuers in the helicopter used ropes to approach the ship and rescue the stranded people on it.

According to the captain, there were 12 sailors on board and they were trapped when the ship sank. One sailor fell into the ocean due to high waves and went missing.

Rescuers are still looking for the missing sailor.
