A man who fell into a dry well was rescued by fire department officials in the south Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

The incident took place in Nambampatti village on October 12.

The tense video shows a man being lifted from the well using thick ropes and commotion as the visibly injured man is placed onto a stretcher.

According to local sources, those crying at the scene are the man's family members.

Reports also suggest the man had fallen into the dry well accidentally. On noticing, villagers immediately informed the fire department who carried out the rescue operation.

The injured man was taken to a nearby hospital in an ambulance and is currently in a stable condition.

According to the reports, the man had fallen into the well accidentally on noticing the man had fallen inside the well, the villagers immediately informed the fire department officials.

Fire officials came to the spot and carried out the rescue operation.

Injured man was taken to a nearby hospital in an ambulance.

According to reports the rescued man is out of danger.
