A beautiful field of sunflowers in bloom is attracting visitors in Lopburi, Thailand.

The tall sunflowers in Lopburi province have become popular with locals who want to experience nature without travelling too far. The field is only 10 miles from the city but has a breathtaking backdrop of mountains and rolling hills beneath clear blue skies.

Jamras Inphuak, owner of the sunflower plantation, said he hopes to attract more tourists to their area and help businesses rebuild after the pandemic.

He said: "We have comfortable inns nearby which the guests can take during their tour. The sunflowers also give people jobs here aside from scenic views."

Sunflowers, aside from being ornamental plants, are grown as a crop for its edible oil and edible fruits.
