Dozens of homes were submerged in floodwaters after continuous rainfall caused a dam to overflow in Nakhon Ratchasima province, Thailand.

Mud waters were seen gushing out of Lam-Phra-Ploeng dam causing floods in the residential area of Pakthongchai district on October 14.

The 20-inch deep flood was expected to worsen as rainfall continues over the coming day, adding more water to the flood.

Residents were seen helplessly waiting for government officials to deliver survival bags.

Thailand and other countries in Southeast Asia such as Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Malaysia are at the peak of their annual rainy season.

Heavy rains this month have caused floods and landslides in central Vietnam and western Cambodia, forcing tens of thousands of people from their homes.
