Police chase stolen mail truck through streets of Washington DC (Alternate Angle)

A U.S. Postal Service truck was stolen in Washington, DC on Friday (October 16th) evening, police said.

Police received a call at 6:49 p.m. about the truck being stolen from the 700 block of Quebec Place NW, according to local media.

Officers quickly found the truck and pursued it for about half a mile, according to police.

They stopped it at 9th Street and Kansas Avenue NW.

Police said a suspect was in custody.
