Protesters shut down roads on sixth day of rallies in Bangkok, Thailand
Thousands of Thai protesters occupied busy intersections on the sixth day of anti-government rallies in Bangkok, Thailand today (October 18th).
Footage shows crowds waving their mobile phone flashlights at the Asoke Intersection next to the famous Soi Cowboy red-light strip of bars.
There were similar scenes at the Victory Monument in the capital and in surrounding provinces.
Rallies continued around Thailand on Saturday and Sunday despite ministers issuing a state of emergency which bans gatherings of more than five people.
