Parked bikes are being stolen in Aravind Nagar area of Pondicherry. Getting frequent complaints from the people police started keeping a close watch. A new case of theft was reportded on Oct 9 and police found out the clever modus operandus of the thieves. Two men came on a motorcycle and saw a bike parked in front of a house . They made a recce and made sure no one was watching them and the street was deserted. One of them got down and took the bike and placed it in the middle and the two drove away safely without any problem. A case has been lodged at Ariyankuppam Police Station and the police are looking for the two men on the basis of the surveillance CCTV footage. They are not yet arrested.
