Local villagers and rescuers saved a dolphin after it got stranded in shallow water in southern China.

The video, filmed in the city of Qinzhou in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on October 19, shows villagers and rescuers digging a hole for the stranded common bottlenose dolphin to keep it moist.

After the water level rose, several people carried the dolphin to the sea to release it back into the water.

According to reports, the dolphin did not want to leave and swam back to the shore for several times during the rescue. Finally, it swam back to the sea successfully.
