Youths work to stop flooding after the Nile overflows in South Sudan
Floods have devastated many residents in South Sudan's town of Bor following overflows of the Nile River. Many residents who settled their families along the eastern banks of the Nile in Jonglei state faced severe damages according to UN-OCHA. Local youth have been trying their best to block water from the river but because of heavy level of water from the river Nile, the local community is unable to maintain the dike which was constructed in 2014.
