Argentinian man, 35, caught 'growing cannabis at home in Thailand'
An Argentinian man was arrested after he was caught allegedly growing cannabis plants in his home.
Sagas Nur, 35, from Argentina was charged with growing the dugs inside his two-storey rented townhouse in Samut Prakan province, Thailand.
Officers used a search warrant from the provincial court on October 18 and reportedly found 108 cannabis plants of different varieties in small pots.
They seized the thriving plants from his front garage and backyard, with some of them up to 5ft-high.
Nur was reported to have rented the house with a Thai girlfriend who allegedly helped him buy the soil and equipment for his urban garden. The seeds were reportedly bought online.
They allegedly planned to sell the cannabis oil extracted from the plants which they also processed inside the house.
However, their urban garden was busted even before they could harvest healthy crops.
Police officers said this was the third time he planted marijuana in the house where he has been living for four months until he was arrested.
They said: "His first harvest failed at producing oil so he tried growing them again and he was successful. However, some of his neighbours saw his unusual garden and reported to us."
Nur and his girlfriend were taken to the police station for questioning on suspicion of illegal production and possession of narcotics.
