The final user trial of India's third-generation anti-tank guided missile 'Nag' was carried out in northern India's Rajasthan on October 22. The trial was carried out in the Pokhran range.

The missile was integrated with an actual warhead and a tank target was kept at some distance. A video shows the missile being launched from the NAG missile carrier NAMICA, hitting the target accurately and defeating the dummy tank's armour.

It has been developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) to engage heavily armoured enemy tanks in day and night conditions.

With this successful final user trial, NAG will enter into the production phase and will be produced by the defence firm Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), whereas Ordnance Factory Medak will produce the NAMICA.
