Demonstrations of students and workers representing the Indonesian people against the leadership of the Joko Widodo regime, efforts to revoke and reject the omnibus law are an agenda that continues to be voiced. On the other side, a combination of military security and the police guarded the 20th October 2020 demonstration by deploying 10000+ troops at the state palace so that there would be no rioting of destroying public facilities like the demonstration the previous day.
The man on the video is Rudi Ade Daman, Chief of The Combined Indonesian Labor Union. He said "This coincides with one year in the second period of Joko Widodo's presidential term. We, labor unions, assess the performance of Joko Widodo administration. I think this has received a lot of opposition from the people. The focus of this action is also on removing the Omnibus Law. The labor movement in particular continues to consistently reject Omnibus Law and it's not an employment cluster. Since the 6th until now there has been resistance, until the president hears the aspirations of the people, especially the workers".
