Dozey cyclist pedals through red light straight into the path of cars pulling away from junction in Philippines
This is the moment a hapless cyclist pedalled through a red light straight into the path of cars pulling away from the junction.
CCTV footage shows the man casually riding across the busy six-lane junction before realising he had made a mistake.
He glanced to his right and noticed the approaching white mini-van, which he swerved away from but only into the bath of a motorcycle rider.
The man was knocked to the ground but avoided being hurt in the collision in Cebu province, the Philippines on October 18.
Astonishingly, the reckless cyclist was then seen standing up and blaming the couple on the motorbike who hit it.
Nobody appeared to be injured by the incident and the two parties left without lodging a report with authorities.
The bike and the motorcycle had a few scratches from skidding along the concrete road, but there was no serious damage from the collision.
It caused slow traffic for almost half an hour, but it returned to normal because they left immediately.
Local officials who found the video, said cyclists are not exempted from following traffic rules in their city.
One of the traffic officials said: "We will investigate the identities of those involved in the collision and interview them.
"No one filed a complaint in the government office so we saw the video later while reviewing the CCTVs."
