A waterspout was spotted off the coast of Rhodes, Greece on Wednesday (October 21).

The clip shows the waterspout travelling across the water.

The filmer told Newsflare: "Whilst on holiday with my wife in Rhodes, Greece, we were sunbathing on the beach when this storm came in. The residents had to shelter indoors and I filmed the storm from my balcony. No one was injured but there was some significant damage to adjacent properties. This type of thing has never been seen by staff or locals on the island of Rhodes."

It hit land at an empty hotel next door and fortunately no one was hurt. This type of phenomenon has never been seen in Rhodes by any locals or hotel staff.
