This is the heartwarming moment a toddler born deaf in Denmark heard her parents for the first time.

Lea Sander filmed the moment her daughter Liv was able to hear: "This is a video of my daughters first time hearing.

"My husband and I both have a gene mutation called connexin 26 this gives us a 25 percent risk of having deaf children.

"Liv was operated to get bilateral cochlear implants when she was 10-months-old and the sound was activated when she was 11-months-old."
