Spectacular real-time footage shows the northern lights in the night skies above a Swedish forest on Friday (October 23rd).

The remarkable video was filmed at around 22:30 local time in a forest north of Porjus in northern Sweden.

"This was so far the most dramatic show we've seen," said the filmer from Switzerland, who goes by the name of Klipsi.

"Filmed on a Sony a7s and Sigma 16mm f/1.4," he added for the benefit of camera geeks.

we are on a roadtrip from Switzerland to northern Scandinavia. Chose to hunt aurora in Sweden as there is no quarantine restrictions and also currently no quarantine for us when returning back to Switzerland. Situation may change but for now we have seen northern lights every single night since arriving a few days ago. This was so far the most dramatic show. Challenging weather changing daily so every night we target a new cloudfree region, in Sweden mostly but also in Norway if necessary.
