Floods in India's Karnataka sees vehicles being swept away and houses left in ruins on October 23.

Footage shows a red car being swept along a street in Bengaluru by forceful floodwater.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department, the city is expected to "receive light to moderate spells of rain with intermittent heavy spells of rainfall" in and around Bengaluru until October 28.

Streets submerged in floodwater, vehicles being swept away in strong currents were among the several frightening scenes witnessed in Bengaluru as heavy overnight rain devastated parts of the city and adjoining areas.

There was a flood-like view in many areas. It is seen in the video that vehicles were washed away in the low lying areas of the capital. The movement of vehicles was affected due to several feet of water in many places.
