Pilots made bumpy landings today (October 24th) at Bristol airport as gales swept across parts of the UK.

"It was blowing directly from the south (right across the runway) forcing the crew to bring the aircraft in sideways before straightening up just before touchdown," said the filmer Archie Bailey.

"Always a spectacle to witness," he added.
