Tidal surges caused by Typhoon Molave hit resorts in Puerto Galera, the Philippines today (October 26).

Guests were instructed to stay inside their rooms while Typhoon Molave brought heavy rains packed with strong winds in several provinces in Luzon island.

More than 50,000 people have been displaced by the typhoon as it passes through the Southern Tagalog region, where it made landfall while moving westwards.

Most of the evacuees were from villages that are prone to landslides, flash floods, storm surges, and mudflows.
