Tidal surges and strong winds bombarded the Balatero port in Puerto Galera island, the Philippines as Typhoon Molave hit the country.

The wind can be heard howling while strong waves smash the port on October 26 morning.

Scheduled trips were cancelled and several stranded passengers were taken to evacuation centres until the weather condition is better.

More than 50,000 people have been displaced by the typhoon as it passes through the Southern Tagalog region, where it made landfall while moving westwards.

Most of the evacuees were from villages that are prone to landslides, flash floods, storm surges, and mudflows.

The weather state bureau said the typhoon is expected to exit the country tomorrow (October 27).
