An amusing video has emerged of a father swearing at an American football match on the television while his wife and baby are recording a birthday song.

The footage, captured at the family’s home in Las Vegas, US on Sunday, shows the mother trying to record a birthday message for the baby’s 80-year-old grandmother by singing ‘Happy Birthday’ in French.

However, her husband, who can be heard watching Sunday’s NFL game between the Seattle Seahawks and the Green Bay Packers, manages to spoil the performance with a series of ill-timed expletives aimed at the TV.

The passionate Seahawks fan was apparently less than impressed with his team’s performance but his wife and young daughter remain admirably calm throughout.
