More than 90,000 people were put under mandatory evacuation orders on Monday (October 26) as strong gusts of winds pushed flames from the Silverado Fire closer to houses.

Two firefighters were “gravely injured” battling the fire, which doubled in size on Monday.

The filmer told Newsflare: "The Silverado canyon fires reached highway 241 and jumped over to toll road 133 heading north.

"Firefighters seemed to be letting it take its course down the highway and protecting what they can along the way. Officers and firefighters are trying to hold the fire at bay.

"Homes and shopping were centers evacuated due to the high fire risk and unpredictable Santa Ana winds."
