Irvine residents evacuate as Silverado Fire continues to grow

Residents in Irvine, California were forced to evacuate on Monday (October 26) because of the Silverado Fire.

In total 90,800 people were put under mandatory evacuation orders as strong gusts of winds are pushing flames closer to houses.

Footage from the scene shows firefighting efforts and residents living in Lambert Ranch evacuating.

The filmer told Newsflare: "At 9:30 am police and sheriff deputies went door to door to evacuate residences. Portola road was packed bumper to bumper heading out of town to safety. Residents scrambled to get out of the fires path."
