A heroic neighbour held onto a three-year-old girl trapped on a building ledge before firefighters arrived in central China.

The video, filmed in the city of Xiaogan in Hubei Province on October 24, shows a man named Zheng holding a girl standing on a narrow ledge outside a fifth-floor balcony.

After the firefighters arrived and entered the flat, they brought the girl and Zheng back to safety one after another.

According to reports, Zheng called firefighters for help after spotting the girl trapped on the fifth-floor ledge and also climbed up from the fourth floor through the guardrails to approach her.

The girl was reportedly left home alone to sleep by her parents. After she woke up, she tried to find her parents by climbing out of the balcony as the door was locked.

10月24日下午，湖北省孝感市孝南区锦绣后湖小区发生惊险一幕，一名三岁女童翻出六楼阳台护栏，被困在阳台外沿上，哭闹不止，十分危险。好在二楼的郑先生发现及时，第一时间拨打119进行求助，并从五楼顺着护栏爬到小女孩身边，将其死死抓住，小女孩情绪才逐渐稳定。
最终，在消防员和郑先生的共同帮助下，小女孩成功脱离险境。
消防员到达现场时，只见郑先生一手抓着小女孩的胳膊，一手抓着阳台护栏，由于阳台外沿十分狭窄，两人都只能侧脚站立，让人不得不为他们捏把汗。

“师傅坚持住，一定要抓紧，我们正在破门，您保持注意力别慌”，由于小女孩家的大门反锁，消防员则从五楼住户阳台与郑先生和小女孩进行对话，安抚他们的情绪。于此同时，另外三名消防员则携带破拆器材赶到六楼，迅速对大门进行破拆。

五分钟后，大门被成功打开，消防员立即冲向阳台，爬到窗户上将小女孩抱进屋内，随后，消防员为郑先生绑上救援绳，将他拉回进屋内，两人成功脱险。

经事后询问得知，小女孩的家长趁其午睡时外出购物，把孩子一人反锁在家中，小女孩醒来后想出门寻找家长，发现门打不开，于是从阳台爬了出去，这才导致这惊险的一幕发生。（视频由湖北台提供）
