Two men in masks detain a student of Minsk State Linguistic College for taking part in anti-government action
Svetlana Tikhanovskaya announced a national ultimatum to the Belarusian authorities. The demands are:
1. Lukashenko must leave.
2. Street violence must stop completely.
3. All political prisoners must be released.
These requirements were to be met by October 25th. Since this didn't happen, many residents of Belarus have been expressing their protest since Monday by holding rallies and strikes in places of their work and study. Students of Minsk State Linguistic College joined the action on October 27. The college administration called the police with a complaint about their own students. As a result one student, a young girl, was detained by two masked men in civilian clothes who refused to show their IDs and identify themselves. It angered and outraged other students.
